Our design team love a challenge

With a nautical theme, they got to work on coming up with some inspirational designs for their 2018 European Commercial Marine Awards ceremony.

The winners were announced at a packed ceremony on the first evening of Seawork and were presented with the awards we created especially for them. Not only did we create these awards, we were able to showcase our work at the exhibition and I’m pleased to say we caused a bit of a stir.

The statement piece created for the show was our stunning school of fish crystal. We thought this was pretty apt for a nautically themed event – and it certainly caught everyone’s attention. We delight in showing people what is possible in crystal.

What is Seawork?

Now in its 21st year, Seawork Celebrates the outstanding individuals and innovative companies that comprise the vibrant and productive Commercial Marine sector.

The Crystal

Each crystal featured a bespoke design tailored to the award category, created in intricate detail by our design studio.

This was laser engraved into the crystal, followed by a full-colour print onto the surface – to feature company and association logos.

The Award Winners

Here are the details of the award winners for 2018:

Innovation Showcase award winners including the overall ‘Spirit of Innovation’ Award which went to Landau. The judges were impressed by Landau’s ‘Life Cord’ which is the only ‘smart’ kill cord incorporating detection technology, designed to trigger audible and visual warning alarm should the ‘Lifecord’ be connected.
