The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is equivalent to the MBE and it is the highest award presented to volunteer groups across the UK. It is awarded to volunteering organisations who are making a positive impact on the lives of others. The winners are announced on 2nd June every year, the anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. This year saw a total of 281 groups across the UK receive this prestigious award and we are delighted to be able to celebrate with all volunteers.
It’s always an exciting time here at Laser Crystal when we produce the awards and we love seeing the accolade recipients across the country celebrating their achievements. Laser Crystal is working with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service Office to create a limited-edition commemorative award for volunteer groups that have been awarded this distinguished accolade.
The mini replica award is made of high-quality, optically pure crystal, as it is the Queen’s Award of Voluntary Service itself, and it is a wonderful memento that commemorates all the outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups of volunteers.
If you know of a volunteer organisation or work for one, you can nominate them for the award. The deadline for submitting the nomination this year is 13th September 2019 to ensure your group is considered for the 2020 awards.
