This year saw the launch of The Star Awards, an event that looks to celebrate achievements and positive contributions from professionals working in the hospitality, tourism and retail sectors. In association with Shorefield Holidays, the award ceremonies are currently held in Bournemouth, Dorset and Southampton, Hampshire.
The awards are free to enter and provide a great opportunity for start-ups and established businesses to not only get more exposure but also to receive recognition for their services and contributions throughout the years.
The categories vary, from The Rising Star, Mix Master, Customer Service and New Business of the Year, any business owner, manager or trainee who has demonstrated extraordinary skills and dedication stands a chance to win a prestigious award. It is inspiring to see people coming together and celebrating success. However, these events are about much more. The awards represent the local community and their efforts to contribute to the economy and grow small businesses. Honouring them through The Star Awards events is a great way to show appreciation and let’s be honest, a great reason to attend a black-tie gala dinner.
Some of the winners of this year’s Bournemouth Star Awards included Renoufs, Dorset Cruises, Frieda’s Tearoom and the Urban Beach Hotel.
